Fascinated by languages since childhood, it soon became obvious that my future path was inextricably linked with possibilities of communication and the interlingual transfer of sense and meaning, and that it would eventually lead me away from my native Great Britain to Germany, my adopted homeland. After studying German and French philology at Oxford University, I moved to Würzburg, Bavaria, in 2003 to pursue a Master of Arts in Applied Translation. I subsequently settled in Berlin, where I established myself as a freelance translator with specialisms including marketing, law, the arts, politics, development, literature and tourism. Over the years, these have been complemented by other fields, from gastronomy and history to management, medicine and psychology. As inspired by translation, writing and words as ever, I have been lucky enough to find, in language(s), reliable partners. Used skilfully, they invariably do their utmost to facilitate, support and creatively complement human, emotive exchange. I hope, with my range of services, to be able to convince you of the same.
